my
personal life
I’m originally from Northern Minnesota, and now reside in Florida with my partner, Luke, and our cat, Miso. In my personal life, I enjoy spending time in nature, cooking and baking, painting, fishing, playing games, reading, listening to podcasts, and enjoying the company of friends and family.

my background
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bemidji State University and a Master’s degree in clinical counseling from the University of Minnesota in Duluth. I have experience working with individuals aged 10 and up, providing family therapy, and working with college students at Fon du Lac Tribal and Community College. I have experience in community-based mental health helping people navigate anxiety and depressive symptoms, ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism, personality disorders, PTSD, adjustment disorders, chronic pain, substance use challenges, conduct disorders, and psychotic disorders. As a lifelong learner, I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engage in trainings to broaden my therapeutic skills, offer a variety of treatment options, and continue to enhance my cultural competence.

my specializations
My therapeutic style is eclectic, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet each person where they are. I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including trauma therapy with a specialization in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. I have also used EMDR to treat anxiety, phobias, and loss. I believe in a strength-based approach, helping people use their inherent strengths to overcome challenges. When appropriate, I like to sprinkle in humor to create a warm and relatable atmosphere. Genuineness and comfortability is important, especially when taking the leap to start therapy, being transparent is something that I strive for. I look forward to meeting with you!
